Started in June 2020 by William Barnes, Red the Road to Wellness is a nonprofit dedicated to assisting the formerly incarcerated with transitional housing and conquering drug and alcohol addiction. In an effort to build up people’s self-esteem through emotional support, positivity, and providing sensible solutions. Mr. Barnes and his team are passionate about helping their clients.
The programs they offer (directly from their website):
Restorative justice repairs the harm caused by crime. When victims, offenders and community members meet to decide how to do that, the results can be transformational.
Currently our program is temporary long-term housing for certain segments of the population, including working homeless. Housing is set up to transition residents into permanent, affordable housing for a maximum of 2 Years.
Job Skills/Life Training
We offer job skills helpful for career employment. Life skills to enhance the quality of life for the people we reach. Ultimately our goal is to build generational wealth and financial freedom in our community.”
